Computer Recycling

We are fully WEEE compliant, and operate under guidelines set by Environment Agency policy. Our waste reducing methods of business have resulted in us being granted Waste Management License Exemption by our Environment Agency Officer.

We can collect or take delivery of all serviceable IT equipment.

Some recycled equipment is kept by Byteback and made available for use by local Bristol community groups Knowle West Web and Bristol Wireless.

All of our partners receive computer Equipment at no cost.

Any non-functional IT equipment is stripped into component parts at our workshops. Working components are collected for spare parts, and made available at no charge to our partners or are used to repair computers within our community.

All unserviceable components are recycled locally through specialised recyclers, that are able to recover raw materials from printed circuit boards, plastic and mixed metals.
